Hi Ron,

I always try to start at the beginning when troubleshooting. Here are =20=

some things to check or try if you haven't found the problem yet:

1. To minimize all potential problems when updating, I always run =20
DiskWarrior and then Repair Permissions before I do any OS updating. =20
This hopefully gets rid of any potential problems the updater might =20
have in identifying required files on the HD. If you used Apple's =20
Migration Manager to move all your files, that might have caused the =20
problem also.

2. Is the rest of Leopard working correctly? Are any other apps doing =20=

peculiar things? You might want to try downloading the 10.5.2 "Combo" =20=

update and reapplying it. This sometimes fixes things. Note: It is =20
always safer to download Apple updates and run the updater from your =20
HD rather than use Apple's Software Update.

3. Do you have any plug-ins/system extras that you were using in =20
Tiger (OS or FCP) that might not be Leopard compliant? Migration =20
Manager sometimes gets confused and mixes files. Try FCP in "Safe" =20
mode by holding down the Shift key when booting and see if that helps.

4. Unfortunately, there are many places on the HD that FCP puts =20
files. To completely remove everything you would need to search to =20
try and find all other folders and prefs. If you are really =20
adventurous, someone has written a "FCS Remover" app. To be safe, =20
backup your HD before you use this:
