Hey Windsor,
Thanks so much for the detailed suggestion. I'm writing from my local apple
store where a Mac tech suggested something similar. He told me to remove th=
e
Compressor folder from the App Support directory and try relaunching. When =
I
get home, I'll try both.

I'll keep y'all apprised.
