If you're sending your video out the FW port to a deck, it is best to plug
the headphones or speakers into the deck.  Otherwise, as they suggested, the
audio will be out of sync (if coming straight out of the mac).  There is an
offset you can specify in FCP.  I think the default is 4 frames but it's
just easier if audio follows video.
